Psychometric talent scan systems
Me.Scan
The Me.Scan is a psychometric talent scan system that is based on the work of Carl Jung, one of the legendary fathers of modern psychology. Whilst it has certain features in common with many other psychometric tests. However the Me.Scan is a unique and modern test, in that it explores both the conscious and unconscious psychology of its subjects.
It does this through an innovative use of images and text. This feature is critical to the success of the scan, for it is from the unconscious that most of our behaviours are driven. Only through a full exploration of the unconscious can we can discover the things we are naturally good at. Equally important, the Me.Scan helps us to understand what is really happening when we find ourselves repeatedly dealing with blockages and barriers to success. The Me.Scan quickly delivers insights about who we truly are, not just who we think we are. This supports you and your team to rapidly achieve higher performance with less energy.
“Talent development is not about discovering something new, it’s about uncovering what has always been there!”
The Me.Scan has been developed over a period of 15 years in conjunction with the Jungian Institute in Nijmegen, Holland. It has been tested and validated with 1,750 subjects; since 2005 live scans have been conducted, with excellent feedback, from more than 20,000 coaches, therapists, and other users. Further technical details are available on request.
Me.Scan works in three phases:
In the first phase, participants choose from a series of archetypal images. By using images rather than words, this phase draws on the person’s unconscious mind.
In the second phase, each participant chooses the skills and competencies that describe his or her best qualities. This part draws on the person’s conscious knowledge of himself or herself.
In the third phase, the trained expert combines these choices to provide feedback that reveals deep insights about the participant.
The scan quickly identifies the small adjustments an individual or team need to make in order to have more energy and to be more aligned, effective and efficient.
We.Scan
If we combine the Me.Scans of several people from a team or group we can gain insights about how they work together and how the team as a whole interacts with people from outside the group.
The We.Scan enables team members to become aware of the qualities and talents of individual team members present as well as the mutual dynamics. It reveals factors that both enhance and inhibit team performance as well as actions for improving the team composition, balance, culture, development, coaching, and performance. By highlighting the unique value that can best be brought by each team member it strengthens trust, improves the assignment of roles (to align with natural talents), and leads to better awareness and performance both of individual team members and the team.
The differences and similarities between people’s unconscious preferences will always surface in the dynamics of their preferred styles of communication, leadership and task completion. These dynamics may lead either to synergy or conflict and the We.Scan reveals both, allowing the team to have an open and honest dialogue about performance.
